2019 Indigenous Practitioners Scholarships - NOW OPEN

Applications for the 2019 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners Scholarships are now open.

The Department of Health is committed to building the capacity of the Aboriginal Health Practitioner (AHP) workforce. The AHP Scholarship Scheme contributes to this objective and provides financial support to AHP students.

Scholarship funding provides students with $5,000 per year over two years of study for the Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) (HLT40213).

Eligibility:

  • Full time students currently studying or about to commence the Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) (HLT40213).
  • Eligible to register with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) on completion of your studies as a qualified AHP.
  • Be a resident of the Northern Territory.
  • Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
