COVID-19 HPANT Statement

With the worsening of COVID-19 virus including increasing governmental imposed restriction on mass gatherings and social distancing, Health Providers Alliance NT have made the very difficult decision to postpone all our scheduled events. This is a decision that has been made as part of the NT-wide focus on protecting our Northern Territory Health Practitioners and the NT community by minimising the risk of spread of COVID-19.

For the health and safety for everyone involved within the HPANT environment, we felt the call to postpone was necessary with the outbreak of COVID-19. Our priority has always been our members and that will continue to be.

What does this mean to our members, stakeholders and what will HPANT be up to?

  • After lengthy discussion, all upcoming HPANT networking events and the NT Health Careers Development Program will be postponed due to the essence of our networking groups being interactive discussions and free mingling between a variety of health disciplines, we could not develop a way to make this a virtual reality. These events will continue once COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed and it is safest to do so.
  • We are currently assessing options for continuation of our CPD events and our Meet a Mentor program through a webinar plat form . Though as we are aware, in the current situation we are all busy so with will continue to monitor if this is indeed a viable option, and we will endeavour to keep you updated with further information in the coming weeks.
  • HPANT staff have moved to working from home arrangements and are still contactable during this time.

HPANT will continue to work during this downtime with a focus on how to best support you our members post COVID-19 and to ensure that our activities can recommence as soon as humanly possible and we can begin to rebuild some normality.

We thank you for your patience and understanding, please take care of each other in these unprecedented times and stay safe .
