Examining Dementia

“Examining Dementia” networking event is for interested medical practitioners, nurses, aboriginal health and allied health practitioners and organisations who wish to gain an understanding of the causes, symptoms and effects of Dementia.

Susan Williams from Dementia Australia will provide an introduction to dementia, causes, symptoms and typical changes that may occur for a person living with dementia. 

"Become a Dementia Friend and support people living with dementia in our community"

Local Community Geriatrician, Dr Michael Lowe will discuss medically diagnosing dementia and the issues with diagnosing dementia within our indigenous remote community population.

Annie Davis from Territory Therapy Solutions with Susan Williams will discuss the assessment, conditions and the impacts of driving with dementia.

Networking and registrations will commence at 5:30 for a 6:00pm start.        Light supper and refreshments supplied.

$10 Health Providers Alliance Northern Territory (HPANT) members / $15 non-members
